JPG or PNG?
JPG makes smaller, broadly compatible photos. PNG is useful when you need lossless output or alpha transparency. JPG output uses a white background for transparent pixels.
What is preserved?
The decoded pixels and orientation are rendered into a new image. Metadata, multi-frame animation, HDR behavior, and lossless encoding are not promised by this tool.
When does it fail?
Empty files, damaged containers, unsupported codecs, pixel limits, and device memory pressure are reported per file so one failure does not stop the rest.
Frequently asked questions
Are my files uploaded?
No. The decoder, conversion, preview, and ZIP creation run in this browser tab. There is no conversion endpoint or upload request in the app.
Can I use this on an iPhone?
Yes, on a current browser with enough memory. Tap Browse, select photos, then wait for each result to finish before leaving the page.
Why did one file fail?
The file may be damaged, use a codec outside this build, exceed the size or pixel limit, or run into device memory pressure. Remove it or choose Retry after closing other heavy tabs.
